Monday

Hello Everyone

We've been working hard this week, finding and teaching a lot of new people. A man approached us in the street and asked if I gave English classes. I told him yes, that I am a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and that I teach people a message about the teaching of Jesus Christ. In addition, I offer my service as an English teacher to those who desire to learn English. He gave us his address and we set an appointment to visit him with his wife and 4 children to teach English.

We arrived at the appointment and taught English as well as a missionary lesson. Everyone was very engaged in learning, and the children were particularly excited to learn how to say a prayer. They accepted the offer to continue learning more about the gospel. I am excited to teach them and hope that they progress in the gospel.

I am full of so many feelings. I feel sorry to leave so many wonderful people here but also excited about my return. I hope that all is well. I will be happy to see you soon.

Have a wonderful week

Tuesday

Hi family!

It was awesome talking with you on Saturday! I hope that everyone is doing well.
It was great to see Shannon. I think she´s a good match for Daniel. Send her greetings from me.

We had a visit from Elder Walker (a member of the 70). It was a wonderful meeting--very powerful and faith-filled. Our mission president told us that Elder Walker was very pleased with our mission and said that we are exceptional missionaries.

We have an investigator that will soon be baptized. I hope that she progresses well

Hi Family

This week we were successful in finding people to teach and in placing baptismal dates. I hope that we will be able to help them progress.

We are working especially closely with an investigator that is trying hard to quit smoking. She loves the gospel and desires to be baptized, but has had an addiction to cigarette smoking since she was 8. It´s a hard battle, but we´re confident that she can do it.

I was exicted to see a less active family come to church this Sunday--for the first time in a long time, they came. I hope that we can help them continue to keep the Sabbath Day holy.

Tomorrow begins a new week. Hopely we will continue to have success. "The standard of truth has been erected. No unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing"

Have a wonderful week

Ya estamos en Abril--El tiempo pasa muy rápido

Hi Family

I enjoyed watching General Conference this past weekend. I enjoyed Jeffery R. Holland's talk and also the words of Dieter F. Uchdorf. I hope to be able to put into practice the things that I learned.

This past week has been a bit difficult for missionary work. There are a lot of people out of town for Spring Break. The upside is that we have managed to find some people to teach--many of which came to watch general conference on Saturday and Sunday. Many are preparing to be baptized.

The Church has given us all small cards which say, "Gracias a que Él Vive" (Because He Lives). They contain a web address with a small video about Jesus Christ, with the hope that more people will learn about the gospel. It`s a wonderful video with a beautiful message. I hope that more people will want to hear the gospel.

We have 3 investigators that are progressing towards baptism. I hope that we can be of help to them as they search for the love and mercy of Jesus Christ.

Hopefully they will be able to be baptized soon.

Que tengan una buena semana (Have a great week)

Happy Easter (Almost)

Hi Family!

We had an interesting week. The work was a little slow because everyone has left for vacations, but still working hard to find people to teach.

Our investigator attended a baptism this past Saturday, as well as the Women`s Broadcast--two wonderful experiences for her. She has been progressing well and wants to be baptized, but is still battling to quit smoking. We try to call her constantly to encourage her.

I enjoyed watching the Women`s conference. I had never heard the new song about families in English (in Spanish, yes). It is very beautiful. I enjoyed the messages about the family. Even in very family-oriented places like Mexico, the family is under attack.

Looking forward to General Conference, hoping and praying for our investigators to progress, and enduring.

Have a wonderful week

Hi Family

I hope that Daniel`s wedding was a wonderful experience. I am glad to hear that the open house went well.

We have had a great deal of success in finding people to teach this week. One lady came up to us and said something like, "Sisters! Hi! Can you come and teach me? I have cereal for you". Surprised, we entered her house and agreed to teach her. We learned that her husband had passed away and that recently her neighbor, a dear friend had also passed away. She expressed feelings of loneliness and feeling distant from God. We hope to help her the best that we can. She has received missionary lessons in the past and has family members in the church from a different ward.

I hope that the Lord will help her.

I look forward to the women`s conference and the sessions of General Conference coming up. I hope that I can learn something new that will help the work.

Have a wonderful week,

Hi Family

Hi everyone,

It´s been a wonderful week, visiting more people and teaching more people about the gospel.

We contacted a less-active sister and her daughter (19) on Saturday. They expressed desire to return to church draw near to God. It seemed like they had a positive experience at church this Sunday. We hope to help them as much as we can.

We have found new people to teach this week. One lady that we taught for the first time told us that she would like to be baptized along with her daughter and that she knows that is the right thing to do. Unfortunately, we only have the chance to teach her once a week, but we will try to help her progress the best that we can.

I am working hard to focus on the work in these last few months of my mission. There are still things to learn, teachings to apply, hearts to fill and people to find. The work moves forward.

It´s sad that I won´t be present for the wedding, but on the upside I have many other things to think and worry about as far as missionary work is concerned.

There is such a great potential for success and such a hope for miracles that I will be completely occupied .

(until May 27th)
